Apostasy and Responsibility

Our excerpt today is from David Wilkerson’s Sermon “The Great Apostasy” from May 7th, 1986.

Our churches no longer have the power of God to attract the people. They go down to Egypt, borrow its music, its dancing, its entertainment, hoping for a crowd! No passion for souls – just crowds! Church growth at any cost! Look at the average church bulletin; it looks like a theater calendar. The church wants to ride the swift horses of Egypt! It is a stench in God’s nostrils.

Even the para-church ministries are falling away, apostatizing! Workers are parked in front of the TV idol. Many are reading psychology books. While some still have a passion for souls, even that often becomes worldly hype and human energy”!

“Who say to the seers, You must not see visions! And to the prophets, You must not prophesy to us what is right. Speak to us pleasant words, prophesying illusions” (Isaiah 30:10).

An apostate church wants nothing to do with the visions or prophecies of men of righteousness. They want no message that disturbs, no upsetting of their successful world. They refuse any kind of correction.

Everything is excused under the banner of love. They clamor for entertainment! They flock by the thousands to concerts, plays, social gatherings, they ridicule prophets. They mock what they call the Doomsday Preachers! They live with Illusions. They don’t want a Preacher or Evangelist to tell them the hard truth – to bring forth the Sword of the Lord. They say, “Preach to us smooth things! Bless us! Make us happy! Make us feel good!”

They especially reject the message of holiness and separation. They say, “Get out of the way, turn aside from the paths …. Let us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 30:11).

I never thought I’d live to see the day that Assembly of God pastors would write me reproachful letters, telling me I am bringing confusion and gloom to the body of Christ. For what? Preaching holiness, judgment and repentance?

Jeremiah was sent to prophesy against the apostate Jews, the Lord’s own people. God warned him, “They will fight you… the dread of the Lord is no longer in them… they prefer to drink from cisterns now, rather than living water” (Jeremiah 1,2,3).

Why do people embrace the prosperity message and reject correction and calls to repentance and holiness? It is because of their lifestyles. Prosperity preaching fits beautifully into their successful lifestyles. They flock to those teachers, because they want to feel comfortable in their world of materialism. They are in no mood to give up anything, or to sacrifice, or to hear of crosses and losses. They are into buying, acquiring, enjoying, climbing. They refuse to heed the prophetic warnings that the party will soon be over.

Words of Grace for Strength

The New Testament book of Jude gives a clear warning of the dangers of Apostasy in the Church… both in the life of the early Church and just as importantly, it is relevant for the Church today.

Jude encourages the believer to earnestly “contend for the faith” because of the danger of Apostasy. “Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.” (Jude 1:3) Jude’s warning to the Body of Christ is that there will be a constant barrage of false teaching and false teachers who will attempt to corrupt the message and mission of the Church, and his exhortation is clear that it is the responsibility of every believer to be proactive in the fight against the false teaching. Every believer should be endeavoring to be a “Berean” like disciple who is so grounded in the Word that they are able to discern the difference between Truth and the threat of growing Apostasy as a result of the teaching of false prophets.

These false prophets have sought to corrupt the message of the Gospel from the very beginning of the church age. “For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Jude 1:4) Look at what Jude is saying about these false prophets and their Apostasy.

• They have “crept in unnoticed.” In other words, they have used deceit, craftiness and elusive means to gain access into the Church. Paul says of them in 2 Corinthians 11:13-14; “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” These false prophets and teachers never appear to be divisive or distrustful, their mantra is inclusiveness, tolerance, love and prosperity. In fact, they may sound good, look good, and even have great charismatic personalities, but they use their position to subvert and corrupt the Truth.

• Jude also describes them as “ungodly” and immoral because they turn Grace into an excuse to commit unrighteousness. Verses 4-19 give a list of their ungodly attributes.

• Also in verse 4 Jude says they “deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.” Paul tells us how they do this in Titus 1:15-16; “To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.” Through their corrupt and unrighteous lives they expose their true nature. Peter says they also show their true nature through their false teaching. 2 Peter 2:1; “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.”

Eventually the false prophet or teacher will be exposed by his own works and he is revealed to have never had any true relationship with God, His Son Jesus Christ or His Holy Spirit and never understood the truth of God’s Word and His righteousness. John wrote of this in 1 John 2:19; “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.”

Jude also describes three groups of people who have been influenced by or are a part of these Apostates. In verses 22-23 he writes; “And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.”

These verses speak of three separate groups of people.

• To some he says we are to “have compassion.” These are they who have been influenced by the false teachers and moral reprobates but have not yet completely bought in to their ungodliness. They are redeemable and we need to reach out to them in Love and kindness in order to draw them back to the Truth.

• The second group have become enamored with the teachings of the false prophets, they are in real and present danger of losing their souls because of ungodliness. Drastic action is called for as we are told to react and “save with fear, pulling them out of the fire.” This is not a moderate or tender approach, this is confrontational and demonstrative action needed to expose to them the danger they face which has eternal consequences.

• The third group is those described as ones we should fear, “hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.” They are the false prophets and teachers, the Apostates themselves. They have given themselves over to their sinful ungodliness and immorality. Are they beyond redemption? Only God knows. However, we are warned as believers not to associate with these workers of iniquity lest we become contaminated by their false teaching and sin. We as members of the Body of Christ, the True Church, are never to lower our guard or our standards in order to do the work of evangelism. We are to be in the world but not of the world.

Friends and fellow servants, we are living in the most exciting days in the history of the earth as we listen for the sound of the trump of God and the imminent return of Christ for His Bride, the Church. In these Last Days we have the opportunity to speak out and share the good news of the True Gospel of Jesus Christ.

There are more people on the earth today who need to know Christ than ever before, and it is not time for us to grow complacent, but rather it is past time for us to be proactive in the work we have been called to by our Lord and Savior.

We must stand against the growing Apostasy in the church, we must reveal the workers of iniquity who corrupt and distort the Word of God, and we must be willing to lay our very lives at the feet of Jesus.

People need to know the Truth, and the only source of Truth is the Word of God, and we know and must share that Jesus IS the Word!

We as Soldiers of the Cross need to put on the Whole Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and prepare to do spiritual battle daily for our Lord. No fear, No weakness, let no one be discouraged, having done all we need to do to stand for Christ let us Stand Therefor! We must contend for the faith, speak those things which become sound doctrine, speak the truth in love, and pray without ceasing!

The little, yet powerful, book of Jude ends with this benediction in verses 24-25; “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.”

Incredible, what a fantastic picture! He will keep us, He will present us with exceeding joy, He does this for us! Our God and Savior! Let us know, let us speak, let us share with the world our Savior, and His glory, His majesty, His Dominion and power now and forever!

Therefore Stand!

Stewards of Grace

I tell you, with a grieving heart, that there are right now in this nation laymen, ministers and ministries that have been given up by God. These are those who have been deceived by lying spirits, having been warned time and again by the Holy Spirit and by prophets of God to repent and humble themselves. They became engrossed with self: they started to fornicate with wood and stones, becoming builders of temples and memorials to self-achievement; and they rejected a life of brokenness and humility. They forsook the prayer closet for their interests and the works of their own hands! They recklessly squandered God’s money, God’s faith, God’s time and God’s power.

From across this nation I hear from praying, sanctified people the same thing I hear from my heavenly Father. Those who are walking with God, living in the Spirit, instinctively sense that God has discovered and that He deplores all the abominations in the church, in the pulpit, in preachers and in some popular ministries.

Not all are corrupt, thank God! There is a growing remnant of repentant saints and ministries who have returned to righteousness and prayer. But the true body of Christ must pray for divine wisdom to discern those who have been stripped of spiritual authority and unction. Growing numbers of praying Christians now share the very grief of God against all the compromise and mixture with the world, and their hearts cry out that God will deal with it soon. I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt He is about to do just that! If God can bring Babylon down in one hour, He can certainly clean up the mess in His temple in a moment.

Most of the modern stewards who have been stripped by God of all spiritual usefulness are not as wise as the unjust steward – they don’t know it’s all over. They are not aware they have been stripped of their stewardship. But you can tell it is all over by the man-centered plans and schemes they introduce. The Lord’s interests are no longer paramount; the only thing important to them now is their next project. They finish one man-centered project, only to launch another, more spectacular than the other.

My heart cries out, “Oh, my blessed Savior, when will God’s people wake up and begin to discern that all this mad spending, building and worldly mindedness represents a squandering spree by Christians and ministries that have been stripped by the Holy Ghost and who are about to be called into account? When will God’s people quit supporting such foolishness? When will the true body of Christ wake up and cry out against it and say, ‘Enough!’?”

Are there no prophets of God left in the land? Are there no pastors left with enough Holy Ghost discernment and spiritual authority to wake up this people to the dangerous waste of our Lord’s resources? Sad, but true, some of the best-known national ministries today are beyond hearing God’s true Word. I am not their judge, but by their actions it is apparent some are beyond reproof, blinded by their own counselors, blinded by ambition, blinded by the gods of success and power.

Words of Grace for Strength

Worldly pleasures and worldly attitudes have become pervasive in the “church” and too many “Christians” are more concerned with personal wealth and riches than growing in grace, and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. This false word of faith prosperity gospel is led by self-centered men and women who seek personal wealth and personal glory, and through their false teaching the “church” has become enamored with programs, performances and prosperity and not discipleship, spiritual discipline and dedication to the Word.

We are living in the times prophesied by the Apostles Paul and Peter (2 Timothy 3:1-7, 2 Peter 2:1-3) wherein man’s base desires will cause him to turn in sin away from what is godly and good. When man worships self and wealth and not God. The scripture is clear on the end of these who turn their back on a Holy God.

Why is it that these false teachers or fallen teachers cannot see the error in the path they have chosen to walk? They have allowed the enemy, the  present power of this world to blind them by either their greed for power and riches or by their self-absorption. It is not hard to stay on the right path when one is focused on Christ as the center of life. It is impossible to do so when He is not that central core focus of life. We can be blinded by the powers of this present world or we can eagerly pursue personal gratification. Either way, the fall astray into the false word is the same. And the solution, a refocus with a Christ-centered life, is the same as well. Trying anything else just leads to a deeper and farther fall.

The rapture of the True Church is imminent and we need to be sharing the love of Christ and His saving Grace with anyone and everyone who will listen. Friends, it is not too late to turn away from these false teachers and prosperity preachers and embrace the true doctrine of grace. We have a God-given responsibility as Ministers of the Gospel to speak the truth in love as good stewards of the message of Jesus Christ.

But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “LOVE WILL COVER A MULTITUDE OF SINS.” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 4:7-11)

Separate and Sure

Customarily for our Sunday blog we quote a passage from a book or message from one of the great preachers and teachers of the past two centuries and then follow it with commentary. Today we will differ a little bit, in that our commentary will precede the excerpt. The reason for this is the power and relevance in the message we will quote today, from Oliver B. Greene.

If you are a regular reader of our blog, I’m certain you are aware that we consistently call out false teachers and preachers, faulty doctrine and theology, and the blasphemy of compromise, tolerance, inclusiveness, and coexistence; all of which have swept over the “Christian” church like a plague. Those who occupy the pulpits in these churches have ceased being separate from the world as the Scripture calls for in 2 Corinthians 6:17, and instead have embraced the world and its allure, compromising not only their own souls, but the souls of those over whom they exercise spiritual responsibility.

To preach and teach the word of God is an awesome responsibility, and the Scripture tells us that those who answer the call on their life to do so will be held to a higher standard by our Lord Jesus Christ when we stand before Him at the Bema. (James 3:1) The Preacher-Teacher must be prepared not only to obey what he sees in the Word, but to live as an example before men of what life In Christ truly is. His life must truly reflect what the Word teaches, because both what he says and does is reflected in the lives of those whom he exercise’s spiritual authority over. If he dilutes, confounds, or distorts the clear meaning of any part of God’s Word, he not only causes spiritual damage to those he teaches, he also places himself in peril of judgment. By condoning sin in any form or compromising clear biblical doctrine he promotes unrighteousness even to the point that some will be lost for eternity, because of his lack of fidelity to the Scripture. The Bible demands holiness, as well as devotion to Jesus Christ, and the obligation which goes with teaching it is a serious commitment. The one who would teach and preach the Word to others must be aware of his own sinful nature and seek to curb and control it with the help of the Holy Spirit; the one who would preach and teach the Word must be aware of the propensity of humanity to seek to embrace secular humanism and seek to denounce and discard it at every turn.

To preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ one must be Separate from this world and Sure of their Calling and Salvation. To preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, one must seek out and rely on the Holy Spirit. To share the Word of God one must have the strength and grace of God to draw upon.

Words of Grace for Strength!

Excerpted from: “The Word Above All” by Oliver B. Greene, 1971.

Too often the preacher himself does not abstain from evil, therefore he does not warn his people. God help us to live clean lives in preach clean living, in order that our records be not stained when we stand before Him who shall judge the quick and the dead at His coming!

To preach the word is to preach the second coming of Jesus: –
If the man in the pulpit is God’s man, a preacher of the word, his message will be well seasoned with the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. The hope of this age is the return of the Lord to catch away His Church. I declare under you on the authority of the Word that a man who does not believe in the return of the Lord is not saved! No, I am not judging. I am simply inspecting fruit in the light of the Bible: “For by GRACE are ye saved through faith…” (Ephesians 2:8).
“The GRACE of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared… teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; LOOKING FOR THAT BLESSED HOPE, and the glorious APPEARING of the great God and our Savior JESUS CHRIST” (Titus 2:11-13).

We are saved by grace, we are taught by grace – taught to deny the world, taught to live righteous lives, taught to LOOK FOR JESUS! Therefore I declare under you that a person who is not looking for Jesus does not possess the grace of God.
The hope of this age, the hope of mankind, is the coming of the Lord Jesus. We will never have peace, we will never have lasting world order until Jesus comes. Man has tried everything in his power to bring about peace and world success; but as I write these lines, the world is in terrible chaos. Why? SIN is the answer – and sin will never be put down to stay until the Lord Jesus comes.

“Preach the Word!” My prayer today is that the Lord will help me to remain true to His Word and preach it in all its fullness and power until Jesus comes. God forbid that I should ever compromise with the world and the devil in my preaching. I trust as I send out this message that if you, dear reader, have not met the Lord in a born-again experience you will do so today. Do not gamble with “religion.” Religion is no good unless it is the blood-bought religion of the Lord Jesus Christ.

If you have been attending a church where the pastor is a blood-denying preacher, then search the Scriptures and see if what I have told you in this message is not true. God has not changed his mind about sin. The wages of sin is death, as it always has been and always will be. The sins which damned men centuries ago will damn men today. Do not be led astray by every wind of doctrine, but stand for the blood-bought redemption of Calvary. Stand by the Bible, live by the Bible, make sure you have had a born-again experience.

If you are not a Christian, I beg you to bow your head right now and let the Lord Jesus come into your heart. He is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). There is no other way, no other door to heaven. “Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9, 10). “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by THE WORD OF GOD, which liveth and abideth for ever” (1 Peter 1:23).

Claim this promise made by our Savior: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth MY WORD, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24).

[End of Excerpt.]

Folks there is no better time than right now to repent of your sin guilt and turn your life to Jesus Christ. Accept His free gift of salvation and embrace life anew “In Christ.” The Rapture is Imminent, the Tribulation and End of Days is at Hand, and;

Jesus is Coming Soon!

The Church and Sound Doctrine!

Continuing our teaching on the Church built by Jesus Christ, we examine examples of what are considered by most to be representative of the “church” in the world today. Comparing them to the True Church formula, pattern, and appearance (meeting place), we will examine their effect in the world and affect on their members. In doing so I believe we will gain a better understanding of the concept of His Remnant Church, which consists of the faithful believers remaining true to the Doctrine of the Church built by Jesus Christ.

In order to compare these “churches” to the Church, let’s look again at Acts 2:42. As the Church these early believers, followers of Jesus Christ, continued steadfastly in four areas; the Apostles Doctrine, Fellowship, the Breaking of Bread, and Prayer. In Acts 2:43-47 we find some things which resulted from their obedience to Christ in following His divine plan; there was a new respect for the authority of God, the Holy Spirit was active, there was unity in the body, everyone’s needs were met, they worshiped together continually (from house to house), they were thankful and shared meals together in fellowship and praise, and the result was that the body grew.

Are these things evident in the “church” today? Are the four areas the early Church “continued steadfastly” in still being continued in the same way today? In our next few posts we will look at each one in turn and evaluate how the “church” today measures up.

We will begin with the Apostles Doctrine:
Simply put the apostle’s doctrine is those things which they were either taught by Jesus Christ Himself, or had revealed to them by His Holy Spirit. During the days recorded in the book of Acts, these doctrines were of course predominantly given to the Church orally. Since the close of the first century, we have the infallible Word of God which the Holy Spirit breathed into the writers of the New Testament Scripture. Peter testified of this in 2 Peter 1:16-21 and in fact in 2 Peter 1:2&3 he wrote that; “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,” which knowledge is that given to us in the written Word of God. The Apostle Paul encouraged both Timothy (2 Timothy 4:2) and Titus (Titus 2:1) to Preach or Speak the Word (Sound Doctrine).

Doctrine therefore is found within the Scripture, the Holy Spirit breathed Word of God. And from the time the Apostle John completed recording The Revelation of Jesus Christ in 95 A.D., there has been no additional Scripture given by God. However, Paul warned Timothy that “the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables” 2 Timothy 4:3&4. He had also warned Timothy that men would “depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth” 1 Timothy 4:1-3.

Unfortunately today we are living in the day which Paul anticipated. Today many “churches” are led by men whose only goals are self-promotion and the accumulation of wealth, others have become institutionalized through an un-biblical structure of priesthood and catechism or are following denominational instruction and dogma, all of which supplant the Word of God with writings, edicts, and creeds written by men. Many of these who identify themselves as “men of God” claim “new” inspiration or that they have received a “fresh” prophetic word from God. These so-called “preachers” are at best charlatans, with most actually fitting into the category of false prophets.

These are able to deceive their followers because most “church members” are woefully ignorant of the Word of God. If they do have a relationship with Jesus Christ, they are certainly not following the example of the Bereans who “searched the Scriptures daily” (Acts 17:11) to verify whether or not what they are being taught is biblical. This puts them in the position of those described in Ephesians 4:14 as being “tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting…” Christians must be people of the Book, willing to take responsibility for themselves and their relationship to Jesus Christ. In these Last Days, deception will only continue to grow as Satan’s influence compromises the teaching of the Word of God, turning the hearts and minds of men away from Sound Doctrine, to the humanistic, socialistic, narcissistic doctrine of demons.

The Church built by Jesus Christ is one which stands on the Sound Doctrine delivered to us through the Word of God, and only through the Word of God. Again, I implore you to examine your heart, and the place in which you worship, the “church” which you attend. Be Bereans, be people of the Book, study the Word of God, ask the Holy Spirit to help you prove through it, what is Truth and what is false. Do not be followers of men, follow God through His Son Jesus Christ. Because;

Living in the Last Days… His Remnant Church ~ Part 12

Over the past few weeks we have been studying what we believe to be the true church in the Last Days, His Remnant Church. We have identified followers of Christ who have a true biblical understanding of the church designed and built by Jesus Christ in the book of Acts. In fact, the distinctives of this remnant group of Christians, in contrast with the mainstream “church” in the world today, are so apparent that they invite derision, condemnation, and disdain not only from the world but the mainstream “churches” as well. During the study we have discussed the responsibilities of this remnant of believers, the true followers of Jesus Christ, and the mission of His Remnant Church as it relates to the Great Commission and Great Commandment in preparation for the return of our Lord and Savior.

During this study we also have examined the problems within the denominational, institutionalized, emergent, word of faith, prosperity, and other mainstream church organizations that dominate the world today. These groups have compromised by embracing one or more of the false theologies of materialism, socialism, humanism, elitism, dominionism, liberationism, or Supersessionism. These so-called “churches” no longer can claim the distinction of separation from the world because they have abandoned fidelity to the Word of God.

We acknowledge that within these “churches” there may remain a few who have not “soiled their garments” (Revelation 2 & 3), but maintain that the preponderance of evidence would show their leadership to be apostate and dominated by false prophets and false teachers. God will not bless error or false teaching. A “church” based on false doctrine is not a Biblical church and God cannot have any part in it. The Apostle Paul, in Galatians 1:8-9, twice says of anyone who would pervert the Gospel, “let him be accursed.” No man or “church” that claims to be a church of God, may change anything God has said for any reason, and God is not giving any new Revelation. The canon was closed with the Revelation of Jesus Christ given to the Apostle John. A biblical church is one wherein Christ is the Head, and it follows the Word of God. If a “church” does not follow the Bible, then it is not a church that belongs to God, because in refusing to obey the Scriptures they separate themselves from God. The unfortunate reality is that most often these so-called “churches” that dominate the world today, were not built on the foundation of Jesus Christ, but were established on the personalities and wills of men, and if they were established in Christ, they long ago abandoned this position.

Jesus Himself said that He would build His church in Matthew 16:18. What was the process in which He did so? He taught His disciples, and while at the time of their teaching they may not have fully understood it, He knew that in the power of the Holy Spirit they would understand and carry out His instructions. The New Testament record is clear that His disciples and apostles followed His instructions completely. Jesus Christ has not changed His instructions for His church. And, He did not leave the matter of establishing His church with human wisdom, He left His Word, and within it are complete instructions to deal with every aspect of establishing His church. His instruction and pattern for building it is the way He intended for it to continue, and any man, group, “church” or denomination who changes the pattern or establishes a “church” on any other foundation has simply not built a Biblical Church. When any “church” injects tradition or the opinions of men into doctrine established by Jesus Christ and His apostles, it is in grave error and is not building a true New Testament church. The Apostle Paul wrote, “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ” 1 Corinthians 3:10-11. A “church” that is established and does not look like the church in Acts and does not follow the New Testament example, cannot have God’s approval, blessing or presence. This is why we have called for those who are truly following hard after Jesus Christ to understand that they are as a church, a remnant of True Christians, True Believers, True Followers and therefore are truly His Remnant Church of these Last Days.

In the coming weeks we will begin a study of the Church in Acts, the New Testament Church of Jesus Christ, from which we have inherited the call to accomplish the Great Commandment and Great Commission. We need a fresh understanding that the body of Christ today is truly descended from the Church in Acts, and should emulate it in faith, evangelism, discipleship and fellowship. Why? Because;

Jesus is Coming Soon!
