The United States… Under Judgment!

I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” [Genesis 12:3 NKJV]

The US government, under the autocratic Presidency of Barak Obama and his Secretary of State, John Kerry, continue to push Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Nation of Israel into accepting the terms of their “Framework for Peace”, which requires virtually no concessions from the Palestinian Authority, yet requires Israel to give up land and divide Jerusalem.  Kerry recently threatened Israel with a third intifada, as well as international sanctions led by the EU, and increased isolation if they do not sign a peace deal with the Palestinians, and give them their state.

Additionally, the Obama administration has relaxed sanctions on Iran and entered into treaty negotiations with that Terrorist State over their nuclear capabilities. The proposed treaty, according to some national security experts and the Israeli military, will leave the Iranians with the capacity to produce nuclear weapons within weeks whenever they choose to do so. According to an article published in the Debkafile, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was stunned by the terms of the accord negotiated with Iran. He called it a “monumental, historic mistake” saying “Tehran has conceded nothing.” He continued by saying “The interim agreement buries the possibility of a peaceful final accord for dismantling Iran’s nuclear program once and for all”, and “Israel is not obliged by this agreement and will do everything it needs to do to defend itself and defend the security of its people.”

As the Obama administration continues its abandonment of our closest ally in the Middle East, most of the US is experiencing the effects of one of the coldest and wettest winters ever recorded. The economic impact of this winter’s weather is the already the costliest in history, with estimates that continued costs, and lost revenue will far exceed 100 billion dollars. Florida citrus growers have already lost 40% of their crop due to freezing temperatures in January. Meanwhile, California continues experiencing drought conditions which are already impacting the cost of produce, and could cause these costs to double by the beginning of summer. Partly because of the economic impact of continuing extreme weather conditions, the national beef herd is at record low numbers causing the market price to spike by as much as 30%. In the past two months the retail price of canned vegetables has jumped an estimated 40% nationally.

So you ask, what does this all have to do with pressuring Israel?

I would encourage you to read the Bill Koenig and John McTernan book; Israel: The Blessing or the Curse, or Bill Koenig’s book; Eye to Eye.  These both detail how “Natural” disasters in the US, over the past 20 years or so, have coincided with our government’s pressure on Israel to divide Jerusalem or trade “Land for Peace.”

The list of “Natural” disasters includes: New England’s “Perfect Storm” at the end of October 1991; Florida’s “Hurricane Andrew” on August 24, 1992; the “Great Flood of 1993” in the US Midwest; on January 16, 1994 California’s “Northbridge Earthquake”; “Tropical Storm Allison” flooded Texas on June 5, 2001; On April 30, 2003 “the worst weather in U.S. history” began, as a total of twenty-one tornadoes struck seven states. Before it was over a month later, a total of 562 tornadoes and 1,587 hailstorms had hit the United States; “Hurricane Katrina” devastated New Orleans in August 2005; September 2005 “Hurricane Rita” smashed into the Gulf coast of Texas and spawned tornadoes and flooding in the Mississippi Valley from Louisiana to Wisconsin; the “California wildfires” of October 2007; the “Super Tuesday tornado outbreak” of February 5 and 6, 2008 which affected the Southern United States and the lower Ohio Valley; the “Joplin EF5 multiple-vortex tornado” that struck Joplin, Missouri May 22, 2011; “Superstorm Hurricane Sandy” on October 29, 2012 made landfall in New Jersey and affected much of the northeast; May 20, 2013 the EF5 “Moore tornado” hit Oklahoma City, Moore, and Newcastle in Oklahoma; the “Colorado Flood” of September 11 and 12, 2013. Each of these events coincide with pressure from our government on Israel to give up “Land for Peace” right up to and including these present winter storms.

I believe that the Bible is, in its entirety, the inspired Word of God. That as Peter wrote in his second epistle, “prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit”. [2 Peter 1:21 NKJV]  I believe the Jewish people and the nation of Israel are in a permanent covenant relationship with God according to his promise to Abraham. I believe that the re-establishment of the Jews in their homeland as a nation in 1948 is a “super-sign” of end time prophecy. And, I truly believe God, when he told Israel, “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” [Genesis 12:3 NKJV], meant what He said.

We live in a world that is increasingly wicked, and where there are no moral absolutes.  We live in a nation that continues to turn its back on God, is increasingly intolerant of Christians, and whose government is turning against Gods chosen in the nation of Israel. As a nation we have chosen to ignore what the Word of God says, and to embrace, in the name of tolerance, “lifestyles” and standards antithetical to scripture and Gods moral Law. Yes, I believe the US is under God’s Judgment.

As a student of the Bible, and especially Bible Prophecy, I believe, that we are seeing prophecy being fulfilled, before our eyes. I truly believe we are living in the “last days”, which will culminate in the end times destruction prophesied in the writings of the Old Testament prophets, and the prophecies of Jesus Christ, recorded in the New Testament, and especially in His Revelation.

The only hope for man is to turn from wickedness to the saving grace offered by Jesus Christ. National salvation will not come, but the lord is still reaching out to individuals. As the True Church, His Remnant Church, we must realize the need in these last days, is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to all who will hear. To understand our citizenship is in heaven and we are looking for a city “whose builder and maker is God.” [Hebrews 11:10]    Jesus is coming soon!
