Living in the Last Days… His Remnant Church ~ Part 3

As we continue the teaching on His Remnant Church in the Last Days, the message it proclaims will be readily recognized by the student of Scripture. I believe the message of His Remnant Church will astonish many, because it is not the prominent or well-known message of today, but is the message of the New Testament church, the message the Gospel of Jesus Christ, of the Messiah who came and is coming again.

It is a message to this generation to repent of the wickedness of their self-absorbed lives, to turn away from the things which have become idols in their lives. It is a message to understand the demonic influences in this present generation, to understand that Satan is the god of this world and that their only hope is in Jesus Christ, Messiah, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, very God. It is a message that tells of a personal relationship with the Christ who paid the sin debt of all men at Calvary, a personal relationship which establishes eternal life in the presence of God, a personal relationship which allows one to understand the written word of God, and a personal relationship which causes us to understand that Jesus is coming soon for His bride… His Church.

We are now living in the times of which the apostle Paul warned Timothy, those latter times wherein the mainstream churches are doing exactly what Paul warned they would do. Even some churches, who believe they are following Christ, yet have become modern-day Judaizers. 1 Timothy 4:1-5 “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.”

The Scripture tells us, that the last days, are “perilous times” for the people of God, and are marked by the ungodly living of some of those who call themselves Christians, for they are known by “having a form of godliness but denying its power.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5

The mainstream churches, the seeker friendly, emergent, and prosperity churches are far from what God envisioned them to be. Entire denominations and religious movements today operate without the Holy Spirit. They are spiritually bankrupt without the presence of Jesus, showing no evidence of spiritual gifts or fruit. They practice a form of godliness devoid of power or conviction which gives no hope of eternal salvation. They are comfortable with the world and are more social and political than spiritual. They appease sin, teach spiritual tolerance and diversity, and deny the authority of the Bible, while casting away all teaching about repentance, heaven, judgment, and hell. They are apostate, and Ichabod (the Glory has departed) has been written over their doorposts. They are representative of the church in Laodicea in Revelation 3.

These Laodicean churches have abandoned Biblical Prophecy for modern relevancy and Replacement Theology, believing all prophecy is already fulfilled or that it is all allegory, or at very worst that God has abandoned His covenant relationship and promises to His chosen people Israel. By making any or all of these unbiblical claims they prove their own ignorance of scripture and prophetic truth. They prove the very prophecy they deny. Their ignorance is confirmed and prophesied in the writings of the prophet Daniel. First he is told to “shut up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end:” Daniel 12:4 and then He is told “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.” Daniel 12:9-10 Their wickedness has blinded them to truth, they cannot understand truth.

But within His Remnant Church in this time, the time of the end, there are those who seek truth and understand truth, for they are the “wise” that Daniel prophesied about. I believe the Holy Spirit is revealing the meaning in these prophetic writings today to men and women of spiritual discernment who are diligently studying God’s Word. Our Savior, Jesus Christ promised this to His followers as recorded in John 16:12-14 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”  The Spirit of truth is the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ who is opening the eyes of prophetic understanding in these last days.

The apostle Paul wrote of this very thing in 1 Corinthians 2:9-16. While the “natural man” or unsaved man finds the scripture foolishness, the Spirit filled man understands prophecy because having the Holy Spirit he has the “mind of Christ”. 1 Corinthians 2:12-14 “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

In 2 Timothy the Holy Spirit has given further instruction for those who would be faithful to Him in the midst of the corruption of those who profess to know Christ yet deny His Word and its teaching. The true Christian is to separate himself from those who dishonor the Holy name of the Lord, to “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 and we are told to “pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” 2 Timothy 2: 22

This is the call to His Remnant Church, to rightly divide the Word, follow righteousness, to stand for Jesus Christ in these Last Days, and to do so in Love. 1 Corinthians 16:13 & 14 “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.”

Therefore Stand! Galatians 5:1, Ephesians 6:10-18, Philippians 1:27-29, Philippians 3:18-4:1, 2 Thessalonians 2:15

I believe that even now the Lord is preparing His Remnant Church, as an army of believers after His own heart, a church that has turned away from the deadness and sin of the modern apostate churches. I believe we are called to be a part of His Remnant Church, and I believe we are being called out for these last days, and I believe this church can be on fire for the Lord, and it can rock the very foundations of hell. No power on earth will be able to ignore the Spiritual authority of His Remnant Church, and Satan will not be able to stand against it! AMEN! Therefore Stand church… because Jesus is Coming Soon!

Living in the Last Days… His Remnant Church ~ Part 2

My post today continues the re-introduction of our teaching on His Remnant Church, the True Church of Jesus Christ in the Last Days.

His Remnant Church, is that part of the Body of Jesus Christ in these Last Days, who know that they are the children of God, and are hearing from and following the leading of His Holy Spirit. Within His Remnant Church there is growing a deeper intimacy with Christ, and while few may heed the call to be a part of this church, grace yet abounds in the lives of those who hunger after God’s Word, and especially for His prophetic teaching. His Remnant Church will diligently study the Word as did the Bereans (Acts 17:11), and walk in full authority of the Word as Jesus requires of us. We must realize all things are possible through Him and that we have nothing to offer the world other than Christ.

His Remnant Church works in total humility and subjection to the Word of God, so that God receives all the glory. Only as we grow in the Holy Spirit, will the love of God be manifest for all to see. Men will no longer see us, but see the Spirit of God’s power manifest in our lives, in His Remnant Church. I believe His Remnant Church is made up of a small proportion of God’s people at the end of time, and they are clinging to the unadulterated Gospel, Faith and Doctrines of the church found in the Book of Acts. His Remnant Church will look like the original Church of Acts where faith was still pure and people followed Christ no matter what the cost, where a handful of believers through faith in Christ turned the world upside down (Acts 17:6), where following the teachings of the Holy Spirit caused the Gospel of Jesus Christ to reach the known world. His Remnant Church will look like the early church in Acts in that it will be made up of believers willing to sacrifice everything for the cause of Christ, and will support each other as family.

His Remnant Church will stand on the Word of God alone. This church is comprised of people who have not allowed pagan ideas, humanistic ideas, other religions or idols to have been introduced into their beliefs or worship as it has in many mainstream churches. This church is made up of people who are shutting out the things of this world and turning to the things of God, it is a church which, while it may be in this world, is definitely not of this world. They are hearing the Word of God, listening to the Holy Spirit, understanding Bible Prophecy, and understanding the need to tell the rest of the world, that unless they turn to Christ, judgment is about to fall on them as it falls on this wicked godless world.

His Remnant Church has as our model our Lord Jesus; we are to be a people who will die to self to bring life to others. Death to self for God’s purpose is what will glorify Him. To be a part of His Remnant Church is to travel a lonely road, and few will be prepared to make the journey. Persecution will definitely follow the rise of His Remnant Church just as it did the early church. Paul wrote of this to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:12 “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” And again to the church at Philippi in Philippians 1:29 “For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.”

Those that are satisfied with denominational churches, seeker friendly churches, and comfortable social club churches espousing the teaching of the prosperity gospel, and self-help theology, will certainly not understand nor agree with the teaching of His Remnant Church. This remnant church teaches the message of the narrow way, of Christ as the only way (John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”) it is Jesus plus Nothing. His Remnant Church must expect to experience persecution from these false churches and the false prophets which lead them. His Remnant Church must be prepared to preach the Gospel of repentance as did the Apostles, for Jesus is coming soon to redeem His Church, His Bride, and a time of tribulation will be ushered in to begin God’s Judgment on the Nations.

Approaching Midnight… updating the Signs of the Times!

We begin this week’s update with the knowledge that we are one week closer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ returning to rapture His church. Having that knowledge, I’d like to begin this week’s update by revisiting a couple of things we looked at last week.

Once again Secretary of State John Kerry continues his yo-yo diplomacy between the Palestinians and Israelis, working on his, so-called, framework for peace and of course between Iran and the United States supposedly seeking to limit Iran’s nuclear aspirations. A lower-level member of the leadership of the PA suggested this week that they might be willing to recognize Israel’s right to exist if they were to give up all land acquired since their Declaration of Independence in 1948. This includes the fact that the Palestinian Authority seeks to have complete control of the Temple Mount and the Western wall. Of course this is not going to be accepted by Israel. Also this week, Benjamin Netanyahu, prime minister of Israel, announced more settlement construction in Jerusalem as a part of their resettlement of their nation’s capital city.

In response to the continued conflict over Jerusalem and its holy sites, apparently, the Vatican this week has begun, what were supposed to be secret, negotiations to take over control of all of Jerusalem to maintain it as a sacred sanctuary city for all religions. The news of this effort was denounced by Orthodox Jews in Israel.

In regard to John Kerry’s comments in Indonesia last week about climate change, and the fact that climate change, in his opinion, is the greatest weapon of mass distraction that the world has to contend with. I along with other commentators simply thought that John Kerry was becoming a bit unhinged. However, apparently this effort to marginalize the industrialized nations because of greenhouse gases they supposedly release into the atmosphere, is actually part of a systematic effort within an element of United Nations. Simply put it is just another part of the humanistic religion of global warming which seeks to institute socialism as the system of a one world government.

For many years I considered the idea that an elitist group of people or families working behind the scenes to control world politics and world finance to be conspiracy theory hogwash. However, in the past couple of years I have become more and more aware of the truth. I do believe today that there is such a group and their work is the work of Satan himself. Whether it be the Illuminati, the Bilderbergers, or whatever other name they may go by, they are simply the tool of Satan to accomplish his goals as he seeks to solidify his control of the earth in these last days. I am no authority on these groups, so if you would like to learn more, I suggest you start with the writings of Paul McGuire (The Day the Dollar Died) and his videos available on YouTube. In the last few years the entertainment industry has increasingly embraced the Illuminati. Many movie and music entertainers often use the symbolism and hand signs of the Illuminati in their performances. There is a great deal more information on this on YouTube as well, particularly an interview with Katt Williams. The illusion of the Illuminati is that by following them or becoming a member of their society you will achieve untold wealth and fame. There is even a Facebook page that tells you how to become a member of the Illuminati. Again, this is completely Satanic!

The last thing I want to approach today on our update I will only mention briefly. Recently some financial analysts have compared today’s market trends to those of the collapse of 2008 and even worse the 1929 stock market crash. While over the last few days stock prices have trended higher they have done so in a period of declining volume which most analysts agree is a major red flag. Elizabeth McDonald of the Fox business network reported this past week on the suicides of seven members of the world banking community since December 23, 2013. A percentage of suicidal deaths rivaling that of the 1929 crash. This all as the Congressional Budget Office came out with their report which states that Obamacare will reduce US incomes by $70 billion annually through 2024 at a loss of a minimum of 2.3 million more jobs. We will be taking a deeper look at the financial markets in another update soon.

As believers, followers of Jesus Christ, all of this news is simply confirmation to us that we are in fact living in the last days, and that the time of great tribulation and the end times is quickly approaching. It is therefore incumbent upon us to be redeeming the time by reaching out to the lost because our God is not willing that any should perish. It is time for His Remnant Church to be reaching out to all who will hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. I truly believe a time of persecution, before the rapture, is drawing ever closer for the True Church in the United States. Jesus is Coming Soon!

The Answer is Not Blowing in the Wind

The answer isn’t blowing in the wind, it is clearly written in the Bible. We know what the Lord’s plans are for this world, we have a good idea why things are so wrong, and getting worse every day. It is defiance of a holy God that has brought humanity to this point, it is the sinful nature of each and every one of us that caused Him to determine the time and means of the end. And so, in our unabated (and ofttimes unabashed) sinfulness, the world is propelled toward the disastrous events chronicled in end times prophecy.

But we are calmer in the face of unbelievable turmoil because we are centered in Christ, calmer while the world around us grows more confused, more worried and frightened. It is that calm we project outwardly to the world that gives us an incredible opportunity. Frightened people (and I am meeting more of them with each passing week) want to know why and how we can be calm, or at least why we do not seem as surprised and confused as they are. In chaos lies opportunity:

  • We can be apologetic – not saying we are sorry, but being ready at all times (2 Timothy 4:2) to give a reason, to make a defense for the hope we have (1 Peter 3:15). Frightened people will listen to explanations, we have an opportunity to speak of end times prophecy. Just be prepared that they might not agree or understand, but we will have an opportunity to engage in a conversation.
  • We can be evangelistic – never is the opportunity to share Christ with someone as strong as when they are frightened and seeking answers. We can easily do what the Lord has called us to. (Matthew 28:19-20) We have a chance not only tell them what the Bible says about the last days, we have an even more important chance to give them the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The assurance of faith we possess as a result of saving faith is a gift they can receive by placing trust in Christ alone, by faith alone, by the grace of God alone. Learn to present an evangelistic message in clear, understandable language.
  • We can be sympathetic – We are called to help those in need of help. (Matthew 25:34-40) Frightened people need comforting, assuring words, and we have the benefit to be able to do it with the Truth! We have the ability to minister out of our hearts. Depending on how long ago you trusted Christ, you may also be able to be incredibly empathetic as well.

The opportunities abound to give the answers, or at least start discussions that may continue and develop, to engage and explain what is happening in the world around us. We who study, understand, believe in and are willing to teach prophetic Scripture have an opportunity to bring more calm into a confusing world. We should do the best we can because:

Jesus is coming soon!

The Sealed now Revealed

Not long ago, the Barna Group (a research organization that focuses on faith matters), conducted a poll concerning the End Times. 41% of those polled in the United States over the age of 18 believe we are living in the Biblical End Times.  Perhaps the most fascinating number to me is that 47% of those described as families with young children at home, believe we are living in the Biblical End Times.

So a significant number of adults 20 to 40 years old believe we are living in the End Times. However, in conversations with people in this age group, I find most do not have even a general understanding of what the Bible teaches about the End Times. This disconnect is not the fault of these people in general, but in fact, the fault lies with our Seminaries and Bible Colleges, who for most of the past 60 years have all but ignored the teaching of Bible Prophecy. This has produced a generation of Pastors, Preachers, and Teachers who have little or no connection to the nearly 30 percent of the Bible which is Prophecy.

Prophetically the Bible clearly has much to say, and as we watch events unfolding in the world today, we can truly understand that we are living in the Last Days. Prophecy isn’t mysterious theology only for Bible Scholars to understand, God breathed it into the scriptures for everyone to know.

The point I wish to get across is this, that we, living in these days, need to be aware of the very fact that we are living in a time in which prophecy has been fulfilled, is being fulfilled, and will continue to be fulfilled. Understanding that, while End Times prophecy was sealed up for a time, it is now opened up and revealed for us to comprehend, and that we have the responsibility to share with our loved ones, friends and neighbors, what the Scriptures say regarding the Last Days. We must do this, so that they too can have the opportunity to spend eternity with Jesus Christ in heaven.

So how do we know that the sealed has been revealed?

In the book which bears his name, Daniel writes out much future prophecy concerning the End Times. As he interpreted the dreams of Nebuchadnezzar, prophecy was revealed which point us to the book of Revelation and the End Times. The great statue in the king’s dream, from the golden head to the feet of iron and clay, prophesied of the kingdoms which would rule over Israel right up to the End Times kingdom of the antichrist. In the Revelation of Jesus Christ, recorded by the apostle John, we begin to see the fulfillment of the prophecies in Daniel as well as the New Testament prophesies of Jesus and His apostles.

I want to pay attention particularly to Daniel 12:4-9 focusing on a few words here.

  • The very fact that, first of all, the Lord tells Daniel to seal up the book. In effect, seal up the understanding of prophecy, and he told him to seal it up “until the time of the end”. Then Daniel asked a question, “My lord, what shall be the end of these things?” Daniel was asking when will be the “time of the end”.  And God told him “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” The point here is that God was telling Daniel to let it go, not to concern himself with it, and then he gave Daniel a partial explanation, “Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.”

In other words, in the End Times many will be redeemed, many will see the provision of God for man, but also, the wicked will still be wicked, will not see the salvation provided through the Messiah, will not understand the prophetic scriptures, but (and this is extremely important) “the wise shall understand”.  Who are the wise?

Let’s look at a few passages of scripture from the New Testament.

  • First, Matthew 13:10-11 Jesus has been teaching utilizing parables; And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.” And in Matthew 13:16-17 He tells them; “But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”

Did you catch that? In verse 10 it says the “disciples came and said to Him”. So it is the disciples that are asking the question “Why do You speak to them in parables?”, And look again at how Jesus answers them. It has been “given to you” the disciples “to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven”.

So I believe we’re starting to get a picture of who the wise are in Daniel 12:10, but let’s look now at another passage. In this passage from the book of John, Jesus is telling His disciples that He will be leaving them very soon, but that He won’t be leaving them alone.

  • Read John 14:12-17 and John 14:23-26 In these passages Jesus is promising them “the helper” who He calls “the spirit of truth” whom the world cannot see or know, but who “dwells with you and will be in you”. And then in verse 26 He identifies the helper as the “Holy Spirit”, and further says that “He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” So here again, Jesus is telling His disciples that the Holy Spirit will be their teacher so they can understand the wisdom that He has taught them.

Let’s look at another passage that will help us identify the “wise” in Daniel chapter 12.

  • Look at 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 where the apostle Paul is teaching on wisdom. This passage spells it out for us. The Holy Spirit teaches the “things that have been freely given to us by God”, the wisdom of God, to “THOSE WHO LOVE HIM”. And it tells us that “he who is spiritual judges all things” again, “THOSE WHO LOVE HIM”. So, the “wise” are those of us who Love Jesus Christ and are His disciples.

Let us now look at what John recorded in the Revelation

  • Revelation 22:10 And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. Here in the last chapter of the last book of Scripture, the Angel is now telling John, not to seal up the book, not to seal up prophecy. Why? Because all prophecy has now been recorded, and “the time is at hand” when it will begin to be fulfilled.

We are living in the Last Days, the End Times are at hand, and that is evidenced by the instruction to the disciples by Jesus, and by the teachings of the Apostles. All of the apostles believed they were living in the last days, and all expected Christ to return in their lifetimes. The apostle Paul, in his Epistles, shared with his readers that they were living in the Last Days. In his epistles to the church at Thessalonica and his epistles to Timothy and Titus, Paul unveiled the Prophecy of the Rapture, and taught of the coming persecution of the church.

I want you to understand then, if the apostle Paul told his readers in his own time that they were living in the Last Days, how much closer do you think we are today?  I believe the Lord will return for His church in my lifetime, but unlike Paul and the other apostles, we have the advantage of being able to look at the past 2000 years and see the fulfillment of much Bible prophecy, prophecies which continue to be fulfilled before our very eyes.

Living in the Last Days… His Remnant Church ~ Part 1 in a series

Nearly 18 months ago, on our old blog site, I posted a series of articles on what I believe to be a remnant church in the Last Days. The evidence of this church, which we call His Remnant Church, is found, I believe, in the second and third chapters of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

His Remnant Church consists of; the repentant overcomers of the church at Ephesus who have returned to a first church attitude and practice; the overcomers of the church in Smyrna who endure suffering for the cause of Christ; the overcomers in the church of Pergamos who hold fast to Christ’s name and remain faithful; and the overcomers in the church at Thyatira whose love, service, faith and patience are born out in their works. It also includes those few overcomers in the church at Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and the overcoming Church of the open door in Philadelphia who have kept the word of God. These all have the characteristics of the first church in the book of Acts.

Today, I believe most mainstream churches are comparable to the church at Laodicea. Their doors are closed to the Son of God, who has been left standing outside, and unfortunately they continually ignore his knocking at the door.

Over the next few weeks, some of my posts will be a review and update of those earlier articles. So, let’s take a look.

The Rise of His Remnant Church

Definition: Remnant – that which remains, or is set apart. A distinct part of a larger whole.

In these Last Days, I believe God is still doing a work that will impact the world. I believe He is calling out a holy remnant, His Remnant Church, dedicated to Jesus Christ, and focused on doing His work during these Last Days. I believe God is raising up a church that is committed to Him and His cause who are a holy remnant, a group of people who are steadfast and sure of their God.

His Remnant Church, of which I write, has no relationship to Replacement Theology, nor to the Adventist remnant theology, nor to the theology of the “Hebraic Roots” movement who are no more than modern day Judieizers claiming to be Christians, yet require adherence to Old Testament Jewish laws. This church, His Remnant Church, is at the core of the True Church which includes both Jewish and Gentile believers in Jesus Christ. His Remnant Church is the Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ set apart from the apostate churches that dominate the world today.

Today, because of the obvious turmoil, upheaval and wickedness in the world (which are evidence to many that we are approaching the end of days), many people are witnessing, and are becoming a part of an interesting phenomenon, where folks are leaving the structure and security of “traditional” organized churches, denominations and memberships, to follow hard after God. This extraordinary migration is little understood by establishment “Christianity.”

Perhaps, the Lord Jesus Christ is calling His Remnant Church to Himself at the end of this age, to worship and teach in simplicity and doctrinal purity. Perhaps, the desire to be obedient to the Word and to understand Bible Prophecy, and to fulfill the great commission and the great commandment, has birthed an early church (the Church in Acts) understanding of what it truly means to follow Christ. Perhaps, God is preparing a people to stand and hold forth truth, in a world where people and “churches” are consumed with materialism, prosperity, self-centered pursuits and desires, and tolerance for those things that are unbiblical. Perhaps, a time of final testing for the true church is upon us, a time for the His Remnant Church to “Stand” for Christ. (Ephesians 6:13)

Whatever the ultimate reason, folks are coming out of apostate churches, and almost immediately, they understand the need to adapt to this new and extraordinary environment, where the Sufficiency of Christ is taught, that Christ alone is indeed all they need.

Today, most mainstream churches have turned away from the gospel and are full of wickedness; they have embraced the world and humanistic ideals. In what were the houses of God, there is no power or spiritual authority, and in fact, there is no presence of the Lord at all. But I believe there is a remnant of people, His Remnant Church, comprised of those who are diligently seeking to understand the scriptures, all of God’s Word.

Frameworks, Nuclear Treaty’s, Sectarian Division and “Nations”… Meanwhile back at Home…

Apparently Secretary of State John Kerry’s “Framework for Peace” has encountered resistance again from both the Palestinian Authority and the Israelis. Mohammed Abbas, once again, declared this past week that the Palestinian Authority would never recognize Israel’s right to exist as a nation. At the same time, his finance minister declared that any peace agreement resulting in a Palestinian state would require complete Palestinian sovereignty over the Temple Mount and Western Wall in Jerusalem. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his part said that Israel would not engage in the destruction of any Israeli settlements in the so-called occupied territories, and in fact announced new settlement construction beginning in the old city of Jerusalem. Naftali Bennett, the Israeli finance minister (head of the Israeli home party), called for the building of more Israeli settlements in the West Bank. Israeli citizens in Jerusalem marched in the streets in support of the call to build more settlements.

Also this week the United States and its five partners resumed nuclear treaty negotiations with the terrorist State of Iran. This while the president of Iran, and its government leaders, continue to call for the destruction of the United States and Israel. Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini said earlier today, that while he was not against the treaty process, it would come to no effect. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to meet with Pres. Obama on March 3 in Washington. It’s expected that Obama will continue to pressure him to accept the framework for peace with the PA, in exchange for more administration guarantees that Iran will not be allowed to produce nuclear weapons.

For his part, John Kerry paused his yo-yo diplomacy efforts in the Middle East to visit Jakarta, Indonesia where he addressed a group consisting of Indonesian students and government officials on climate change. Before the climate change speech, Kerry toured Jakarta’s Istiqlal Mosque, one of the largest in the world, to pay his respects to Indonesia’s Muslim majority population. In his speech Kerry claimed that; “In a sense, climate change can now be considered the world’s largest weapon of mass destruction, perhaps even, the world’s most fearsome weapon of mass destruction.” Perhaps Mr. Kerry’s hectic schedule is causing him become a bit delusional, he is beginning to sound like Al Gore. His speech of course, follows reports that the US and China have announced an agreement to cooperate more closely on combating climate change. While in the US the Obama administration, with the EPA, continues its environmental war on coal-fired energy plants, its new partner in the climate change battle, China, along with India and Indonesia are building new coal-fired energy plants at the rate of two or three a year.

Rather than being concerned with China’s continued aggression in the Pacific against Japan and the Philippines, this administration makes them a partner in a program in which they are openly mocking this administration. Both Secretary of State John Kerry and Pres. Barack Obama seem to suffer from the same messianic complex. How arrogant are they to believe that they have the ability to control anything created by a sovereign God. The only effect they have on the weather, is in their continued push to force Israel to divide Jerusalem, which, as I said in an earlier post, has brought about catastrophic weather events in the United States. I believe this is only the beginning of God’s judgment on the US.

In Syria the Civil War rages on as a proxy battle between Shiite Iran and Sunni Saudi Arabia. Once again, this past week Israel was attacked in the Golan Heights by one or another of these Islamist factions. In Lebanon, an Islamist group affiliated with Al Qaeda, known as the “Islamist State of Iraq” or “Levent” has taken root in an effort to launch attacks against Israel and parts of Europe. The ISIL has taken control of Beirut and other parts of Lebanon. ISIL leader Abu Sayyaf al-Ansari said he “will use Lebanon as a platform for striking Israel.” Hezbollah, a Shiite group backed by Iran controls most of what is considered the nation of Lebanon. Increasingly, national borders in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Jordan have become blurred by the fact that large areas are controlled by one sectarian Islamist group or another. None of this bodes well for the nation state of Israel, as the only thing that unites Islam is their hatred of Israel. Along Israel’s southern border with Egypt in the Sinai Peninsula, another Islamist insurgency is underway. It involves groups with roots in Gaza, as well as the Muslim Brotherhood rooted in Egypt. Since the military takeover in Egypt, after the overthrow of Mohammed Morsi’s government, their efforts to consolidate power in Egypt proper, have left a vacuum of power in the Sinai. Almost certainly, the Al Qaeda network forms a significant part of this insurgency. The Islamists have begun to strike west into Egypt as well as threatening the southern border of Israel. For Israel this places active insurgent groups on their northwest and northern, and northeastern borders as well as their southern and southwestern border. With the Palestinian Authority and the unstable Jordanian Hashemite Kingdom on their eastern border and the Mediterranean Sea to the west, Israel’s enemies of Psalm 83 have surrounded her.

Meanwhile in the US, the Obama administration has forced the Pentagon to bow to pressure from Muslim groups and relax uniform rules to allow Islamic beards, turbans and hijabs to be worn. At the same time, Christians in the military have been threatened with prosecution under the military code of justice for sharing their faith, and while Christians in the military have been marginalized, some have even been expelled because of their faith. This act of political correctness takes place while the FBI continues to track more than 100 suspected jihadist infiltrators in the United States military.

A recent Egyptian military study proved overwhelmingly, that those Muslims who wore beards, turbans and hijab’s were more likely to be radicalized than those who did not. Recently a reformed Islamic jihadi from Egypt said that the proliferation of the hijab is strongly associated with increased terrorism in such societies as Indonesia, Egypt, Algeria, and the U.K., after the hijab became prevalent among Muslim women living in those communities. In Islam outer signs of religiosity on the one hand, and corruption and deceit on the other, are quite harmonious. After all, Islam’s prophet Muhammad, as recorded in the Hadith, which tells Muslims to grow a beard also advocates deception, the plundering of infidels, and many other practices antagonistic to Western notions of religiousness and civility. By the way, it’s the same with the hijab, or cloak that some Muslim women wear, also on Muhammad’s command.

So whether it’s a bow to political correctness, or another example of the Islamization of America under Barack Obama, instead of being wary of those who openly wear these symbols, meant to separate true believers of Islam from impure infidels, our US military is accepting them. This is taking place at a time in which the United States military continues training which labels Evangelical Christians and Catholics as extremists on a par with Al Qaeda.

And… More from the home front… the Department of Homeland Security has issued a purchase order for over 141,000 rounds of Hornaday .308 caliber 168gr. A-MAX TAP ammunition. This is a military sniper round, developed for its long-range capabilities, which I am very familiar with.  Reporting in the Prepper podcast, James Smith said, “What makes the .308 ammunition so deadly is the long range capability of the round.” “The ability is called ballistic coefficient, or the efficiency of a projectile in overcoming air resistance as it travels to its target.” In the past couple of years the DHS have made purchases totaling over 2 billion bullets, the majority of which were hollow point rounds. One order of hollow point ammunition alone was for 450 million rounds.

My question is this, what reason does the Department of Homeland Security have for purchasing sniper ammunition and hollow point ammunition? The Department of Homeland Security is chartered as a domestic security agency. The Geneva Convention forbids the use of hollow point ammunition by any nation in wartime. No one would use hollow point ammunition as a practice round because of its expense. What is the intended use of this ammunition, and for whom?

Well, I’ll leave that for further exploration in a later post.

What is the significance of the information contained in today’s post? Simply put, it is continued evidence that we are living in the last days. God’s chosen people, Israel, increasingly finds itself standing alone. Radical Islam continues to grow and threatens Christians and Jews as well as anyone it considers an infidel. In the United States, Christians are being marginalized, and it is only a matter of time until, and before, we as His Remnant Church, will begin to feel the effects of persecution that Christians of His Remnant Church in other parts of the world continue to endure.

The apostle Paul wrote to Timothy: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” (2 Timothy 3:1 NKJV) and of these perilous times Peter’s exhortation is: Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;  but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. (1 Peter 4:12-16 NKJV)
